This LPN position is a staff position that has direct care responsibilities as well as supervisor responsibility for caregivers. The Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN is responsible for supervising nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and within scope of practice coordinates care delivery, which will ensure that resident�s needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, facility policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines.

Skills: Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment; Must be able to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner
Years of Experience: 2-3 years clinical experience; Gerontological nursing including dementia population preferred
License: Must have a valid and current LPN/LVN state license
Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 20 pounds, unassisted on a frequent basis (occasionally up to 50 pounds, unassisted); Full use of gross and fine motor skills of the upper and lower extremities (i.e., treatments, dressing changes, medication supervision, writing notations, etc.)
