HCLTech is looking for a highly talented and self-motivated Workday Payroll Consultant to join it in advancing the technological world through innovation and creativity.
Role/Responsibilities
• Configure payroll components including earnings, deductions, pay groups, and calculations
• Configure Absence plans, eligibility rules, accruals, and validations
• Support payroll testing cycles including payroll register validation and variance analysis
• Assist with parallel payroll runs and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy
• Collaborate with integration teams on payroll-related outputs and data flows
• Support cutover activities and first payroll processing post go-live
• Troubleshoot payroll and absence-related issues and provide timely resolutions
• Ensure compliance with payroll policies, statutory requirements, and system best practices
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements
• Preferably an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HR, Finance, or a related field
• Hands-on experience in Workday Payroll configuration
• Strong experience in Workday Absence configuration
• Experience supporting payroll testing cycles including validation and reconciliation
• Experience supporting at least one payroll parallel run
• Understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and data accuracy requirements
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams including HR, Finance, and IT
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
• Workday Payroll Certification
• Workday Absence Management Certification
• Experience supporting end-to-end Workday HCM implementations or enhancements
• Familiarity with Workday integrations and payroll interfaces
• Experience with post-go-live support and production stabilization

Compensation and Benefits A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per
year.
Salary : $127,000 - $188,000
