Automation Test Lead

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Test Automation Lead to lead quality engineering and automation testing initiatives across Salesforce applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Salesforce Automation Testing, Copado Robotic Testing (CRT), Selenium, and Java, with a proven track record of building scalable automation frameworks and leading testing teams in enterprise environments. This role will be responsible for defining testing strategies, ensuring comprehensive test coverage, and driving quality throughout the software development lifecycle. This is an onsite position and the candidate must be able to work in San Antonio, TX or Plano, TX.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage test planning, test execution, and quality assurance activities for Salesforce applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Copado Robotic Testing (CRT), Selenium, and Java.
• Define and implement test strategies, methodologies, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and testing needs.
• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end test cases.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom applications.
• Monitor testing progress, track defects, and provide regular status updates to project stakeholders.
• Lead root cause analysis and support defect triage activities.
• Mentor and guide QA engineers on automation best practices, tools, and frameworks.
• Support CI/CD and DevOps initiatives by integrating automated testing into deployment pipelines.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency, quality, and automation coverage.

Minimum Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
• 3 years of experience leading QA or Test Automation teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Automation Testing.
• Expertise in Copado Robotic Testing (CRT).
• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and Agile development practices.
• Experience testing Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or custom Salesforce applications.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Experience with defect management and test management tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Copado DevOps and release management solutions.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
• Experience with performance and security testing methodologies.
• Salesforce platform knowledge including Apex, Lightning, and Salesforce integrations.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe environments.
• ISTQB, Copado, Salesforce, Selenium, or related testing certifications.
• Experience leading quality transformation initiatives for large enterprise Salesforce programs.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and test automation best practices.
• Experience working in consulting or enterprise-scale environments.

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
