Product Owner As a Product Owner for Public Risk Group, you will be responsible for owning a portfolio of technology platforms and developing the capabilities required to support your customers. You will drive the growth and utilization of our technology platforms and be responsible for new and improved solutions and capabilities that enhance business user experiences and value delivery across functional teams. You will also work to develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for your platforms as Public Risk Group undertakes a significant investment in modernization and improving our platforms. To accomplish this, you will deeply partner with business teams to analyze and documents current systems functionality and identify changes that will deliver the intended business outcomes in a timely manner. Working with technology teams, you will drive Agile teams to build, test and deliver the changes to realize the targeted benefits. Key Responsibilities Manage customer relationships at all levels with end users at of our application. Drive efficient project collaboration by brokering communication between technical teams and customers. Participate in Agile ceremonies and workshops for requirements elaboration. Serve as subject-matter expert (SME) for all appointed applications and systems. Steward Business Analysis (BA) Center of Excellence with associated best practices and project artifacts. Operate independently with minimal managerial direction. Participate in application steering committees. Provide versatile support to Product Management and Development teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of enhancements. Experience & Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience 1-3 years of relevant and progressive professional experience in software development and support. Other Skills Entry level skill set in SQL/API's an asset. Insurance industry experience desired but not required. Possess and have ability to apply broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures. Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy Exceptional organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word) Additional Working Conditions and Physical Demands Overtime hours may be required to fulfill job responsibilities. May be required to stoop, bend, or sit for extended periods of time. May be required to lift up to 10 pounds. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices. Close vision and ability to adjust focus; required to read a computer screen. Travel Expectations (if applicable) Occasional travel up to 10%.
