Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Superintendent to manage and oversee construction projects from initial planning to successful completion. This is an on-site role, based in Richmond, VA. Responsibilities include monitoring project progress, supervising construction teams, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, managing schedules and budgets, and collaborating with subcontractors and stakeholders to meet project goals. The Superintendent is also responsible for solving on-site issues promptly and effectively.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in commercial or healthcare construction
• Proficiency in interpreting and managing construction plans, schedules, and budgets
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively supervise construction crews
• Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and best practices in construction
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills for resolving on-site challenges
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with clients, subcontractors, and team members
• Proficiency in project management software or construction-related tools is a plus
• Experience in healthcare or medical-related construction is highly desirable
• An understanding of local building codes and regulations in Virginia
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or a degree in construction management or a related field is a plus
