Job Summary And Qualifications

The clinical Exercise Physiologist is responsible for professional care and related assistance to patients in all phases of Cardiac Rehabilitation. The Exercise Physiologist will provide direct and indirect patient care in both inpatient and outpatient setting. The Exercise Physiologist will assess, evaluate and prescribe safe and effective exercise for patients recovering from a heart attack, heart surgery, or have been diagnose with cardiac disease.

What you will do in this role:

• Exercise Physiologists
• Monitor hemodynamic responses during exercise
• Develop suitable exercises at an appropriate heart rate range
• Teach patient independent exercise habits
• Provide information on cardiac risk factor modification and positive lifestyle changes
• Exhibits basic knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias
• Exhibits professional and ethical conduct at all times
• Is courteous with patients, co-workers, family members, physicians, and the general public
• Appropriately handles confidential information regarding patient records
• Must pass competency checklists for all responsibilities outlined by the departmental/program policy
• Will participate and promote positive team interactions to ensure patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  
  

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology required with a focus on cardiac rehab
• A minimum of 1-2 years working in a cardiac rehab setting is required
• Must be able to pickup weekday shifts
