Job Summary And Qualifications
To provide safe and effective care, through the performance of specific duties, as the surgical assistant during surgical and other invasive procedures under the direction of a registered nurse, and surgeon. Performs routine scrub as well as specifically delegated duties according to AORN standards and established policies and procedures of the Department of Surgery. Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment for all. Keeps current with operating room techniques, procedures, instruments, supplies and equipment; assists with the on-going Performance Improvement Program. The Certified Surgical First Assistant also may be responsible for assisting the surgeon under direct and indirect supervision throughout preoperative, intraoperative, and post-operative duties and procedures at all times.

What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of a Surgical Technology School required
- Associates Degree preferred
- 1 years of surgical tech experience required
- Certified First Assist (CSFA) certification required
- BLS Certification required
