SUMMARY:
The Atlanta office of Hall Booth Smith, P.C. seeks an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to perform a variety of billing duties. The successful candidate will exhibit first-hand knowledge of associated E-billing platforms, in addition to processing manual invoices. This position will also be responsible for tracking and processing client reductions and appeals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures all functions are performed in accordance with client’s guidelines for both electronic and paper billings.
Responsible for timely and accurate client billing, including routine and complex billing arrangements.
Ability to understand complex billing guidelines, track appeals and specialty billing situations is required.
Maintains open lines of communication with Attorneys, Legal Assistants, and clients for resolution of billing issues.
Review and assist set up of timekeepers, rate information, and legal matters on electronic vendor websites.
Proactively maintain accurate documentation and verify accuracy of billing data in all systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
A minimum of three years billing experience in an insurance defense law firm setting is strongly preferred.
Aderant experience is required, and Bill Blast is strongly preferred.
Must exhibit a high level of customer service to align with the Firm’s beliefs and values.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and multitask various inquiries in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with investigative mindset and strong research skills
