We are seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team in a school environment. This position is ideal for a self-starter who takes pride in their work, can work independently, and has hands-on experience in general building maintenance trades such as light plumbing, light electrical, drywall repair, painting and patching, or similar maintenance skills. Reporting to the Director of Facilities and overseen by the Lead Maintenance Tech, the Maintenance Tech 2 is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of client facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance of the campus facilities.
- Some duties may include repairing flooring, drywall, appliances, troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, safety and security systems (lighting, locks, smoke/CO2 alarms, etc.), and HVAC systems; painting (interior and exterior); and cleaning.
- General roof cleaning and maintenance
- Mold abatement, fire smoke and water damage clean up.
- Wash exterior surfaces
- Painting, touch-ups interior and exterior surfaces.
- Preventive maintenance
- Responsible for daily pool water quality and chemistry testing and documentation per code and standards. Administer chemicals and other supplies to pools as necessary

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities):
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance, handyman, or similar experience.
- Ability to apply semi-skilled techniques and use the tools of one or more of these categories: carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, and small equipment repairs.
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Valid Driver License
- Must be Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certified or be willing to get certified within 60 days of hire. Course to be paid for by the company upon successful completion.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, pull, and push 50 pounds.
Exposed to wet or humid conditions and inclement seasonal weather, summer heat, and cold weather.
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting.
Salary : $25 - $27
