Role Description
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, analyzing project requirements, and collaborating with project managers and design teams. Duties will include reviewing project plans and specifications, conducting material take-offs, collecting vendor and subcontractor pricing, and preparing bid proposals. The Senior Estimator will also assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and maintaining comprehensive documentation throughout the preconstruction process.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in cost estimation, material take-offs, and bid preparation
- Thorough understanding of construction principles, building codes, and industry standards
- Capability to effectively collaborate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors
- Proven problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail
- Proficiency in using estimation software and relevant tools
- Previous experience in commercial construction, particularly in industrial, retail, or mixed-use projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
