About this role:
This role is based in Miami. You would be part of our HBA Residential Miami team, which is a part of our global studios in London, Singapore, Dubai & Hong Kong. Our Miami office is located in the heart of one of the world's most dynamic luxury real estate markets.
Job Summary:
As a Senior Interior Designer specializing in the luxury residential market, you will play a pivotal role in crafting sophisticated and elegant interior spaces. You will contribute your creative flair and technical proficiency to elevate our projects, ensuring the highest standards of luxury and style.
Your main responsibility is to lead the assigned project design team in the design, development, production, and delivery of the Company's project work. You will report to the Design Director (DD) and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the assigned project and other outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Project Management
- Conceptualization and development of high-end residential designs that align with the client's vision and project goals.
- Develop mood boards, sketches, 2d/3d design proposals to convey your ideas effectively.
- Provide strong expertise in spatial design and interior architectural detailing to transform design ideas into reality.
- Source and select appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with the design concept and budget.
- Produce polished, professional presentations and comprehensive documentation for client approvals.
- Efficiently manage and review drawing packages and schedules, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- Experienced in reviewing and commenting on contractors’ and suppliers’ shop drawings
- Conduct factory and site visits to oversee project progress and ensure design integrity throughout the construction process
Stakeholders relationship
- Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers and design team members to ensure the company is constantly represented in the best light.
- Interface with clients as required, ensuring a positive image of the company is constantly maintained.
- Assist Partner & Design Directors in developing new client relationships.
Mentorship
- Assist in mentoring and motivating the development of other ID team members.
- Foster a collaborative team environment by sharing design ideas and your knowledge.
- With a greater design team, plan and attend events/promos/seminars, and be a positive ambassador for the company.
- Promote and develop the office design culture through inputting and partaking in structured and informal creative sessions.

Below are the minimum qualifications that we expect from you:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design / Architecture
- 8 years of experience in luxury residential / branded residence & hospitality projects
- A portfolio of previous project experience in luxury residential / branded residence projects
- Experience in working with UHNW clients
- Software proficiency: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, AI software is a plus
- Fluent in English
- Professional certification (e.g., NCIDQ) is a plus
