What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender/Server position at Hazy Mountain Vineyards?
Hazy Mountain Vineyards & Brewery is seeking Part-time Bartenders and support staff to join our team. This position will handle the day-to-day operations of the tasting room in Front of House. This includes bar, serving, and hosting! The ideal candidate will be passionate about wine, beer, food, and guest experience.
As the newest and most premier estate winery/brewery in the Central Virginia area, this will be a great opportunity for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Work in various aspects of the tasting room as needed, including bartending, serving, and hosting.
- Provide knowledge about our products, provide tastings to groups, and private reservations.
- Responsible for providing guests with an enjoyable and memorable tasting & dining experience.
- Provide guided tastings to guests.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to ABC regulations, VDACS, OSHA.
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
- Prior retail/restaurant experience preferred.
- A passion and interest in wine, beer, and guest relations.
- Open availability & ability to work holidays, weekends, and special events to meet the demands of the business.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision.
- Understand or quickly learn relevant state and local regulations, including ABC regulations.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
