HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support large-scale industrial installation and construction projects. This position will focus heavily on field presence, onboarding activities, contractor oversight, and partnering with operations teams to maintain a safe and productive jobsite.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of jobsite safety and OSHA compliance
- Conduct new hire orientations and daily safety interactions
- Perform daily site walks, audits, and inspections
- Support project teams with hazard recognition and problem solving
- Oversee subcontractors and trade contractors
- Assist with implementation of LOTO, Fall Protection, Confined Space, and MEWP safety programs
- Conduct incident investigations and complete required documentation
- Promote a collaborative, team-oriented safety culture across the project
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of construction or industrial safety experience required
- Strong working knowledge of LOTO, Fall Protection, Confined Space, and MEWP operations
- OSHA 500 preferred
- BCSP certification preferred
- Experience supporting large-scale industrial or distribution projects preferred
- Ability to work extended hours and Saturdays as needed
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills required
- Must be comfortable working in a highly active field environment
