Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain cars, trucks, semi-trucks, and other heavy-duty vehicles
- Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and electrical systems
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
- Perform maintenance and inspections on trucks and semi-trucks
- Remove, inspect, and replace engines, transmissions, differentials, axles, and other major components
- Prepare vehicles and parts for the auto-wrecking and salvage process
- Test vehicles and components to ensure proper operation
- Use automotive and heavy-duty diagnostic equipment and shop tools
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow company safety procedures and guidelines
- Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality repair standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an automotive or heavy-duty mechanic
- Experience repairing trucks and semi-trucks strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive and heavy-duty vehicle systems
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
- Experience with engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other major components
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and dependable
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Must be safety-conscious and able to perform physical shop duties
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
