What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Engineer position at Hazen and Sawyer?
Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an Office Engineer to join our team in the NYC Metro area. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction inspection or preferably management on infrastructure construction projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Track quality assurance and certification paperwork
- Maintain RFI, Submittal, and Change order logs
- Coordinate issue resolution with RE, and Design Personnel
- Perform duties involving requirements to provide Document Control Services including maintenance of project files on project PMIS
- Perform engineering calculations related to quantities and payments
- Work in a team environment
- Proofread inspection reports
- Prepare Change Orders
- Review and process monthly construction estimates and payments
- Ability to effectively communicate with contractor, client, and project CM staff.
- Perform other duties as requested by Assistant Resident Engineer/Resident Engineer
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- 5 years’ experience
- BS Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited college.
- Strong written, oral, communication, organization skills required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and related PC software packages used on design and construction projects

Salary : $105,000 - $150,000
