Job Summary:

Duties include analyzing complex clinical operations and structure processes to facilitate decision making regarding clinical systems; utilizing the knowledge and skills of clinical practice to determine clinical functions that are suitable for computer applications; and ensuring information systems are consistent with professional standards of practice.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Frequent communication with management, clinical staff, and visitors; System-wide responsibilities
- Utilizes clinical expertise to serve as patient and staff advocate to enhance quality in delivery of patient services
- Provides technical training and support to end users
- May experience long periods of sitting and utilization of computer terminal
- Requires dealing with stressful situations
- Frequent interruptions and workload priority changes
- Maintains confidential information
- Knowledge and use of computers
- Must be flexible and versatile
- Meditech experience preferred.
- One to two years of knowledge and experience in the field of Information Technology desired.
- Competence in systems analysis and design; development of database structures and data organization; applications testing and evaluation; project management skills; use of computer programming tools and utilities.
- Registered Nurse with bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
- Five years of clinical experience required
- Must be able to work with little supervision.
