Job Summary:
A non-professional who assists the Activities Director in implementing activities
program for convalescent patients to encourage self-care and resumption of normal
activities. Programs to include social, indoor and outdoor activities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Coordinates the activities as scheduled for the days’ work.
Accepts and carries out assignments as delegated.
Always assists in maintaining documentation of the resident histories and attendance.
Consistently assists in maintaining documentation of resident activity according to current State and Federal
regulations.
Always assists with in-room activities as scheduled by the Activities Director.
Consistently demonstrates proficiency in various aspects of rehabilitative and restorative techniques such as
parallel bars, ambulation, etc.
Always maintains a safe resident, visitor, and employee environment by complying with established safety
policies and procedure.
Demonstrates ability to provide input to improve the effectiveness of the position.
Verbalizes ideas and facts clearly.
Participates in the in-service education and training programs. The State requires ten mandatory in-services
annually.
Performs additional projects which may be assigned in an efficient and expedient manner.
Supervision during meals
Required Skills/Abilities:
High School graduate or equivalency.
Job Type: Per Diem, Variable Shift
Pay: $25.00 to $34.00 hourly
