Duties
- Supervise daily landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and pest control to maintain optimal turf conditions.
- Oversee landscaping projects such as planting, pruning, and soil management to enhance course beauty and sustainability.
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure efficient water use and proper moisture levels across all course areas.
- Lead construction projects related to course improvements, bunker renovations, or new features with attention to detail and quality standards.
- Coordinate tree care initiatives including pruning, removal, and health assessments to promote safety and aesthetics.
- Supervise a team of groundskeepers and landscapers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a motivated workforce.
- Conduct regular inspections for maintenance needs, safety hazards, or turf issues and implement timely solutions to uphold high standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, lawn care or horticulture with a focus on golf course or large-scale outdoor environments.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with strong leadership skills to manage teams effectively.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, construction practices related to outdoor spaces, and tree care techniques.
- Familiarity with gardening principles and general land management practices essential for maintaining healthy turf and landscapes.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, vendors, and management teams.
