About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading Caribbean General Contractor specializing in luxury hospitality, resort, mixed-use, commercial, and residential developments throughout the Caribbean and Latin American markets. With an impressive portfolio of landmark projects, they are known for delivering high-quality work, fostering long-term client relationships, and successfully executing complex developments across the region.
They are seeking a Senior Estimator to join their growing preconstruction team. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, developing budgets, managing bid pursuits, and supporting project teams from early design through project award.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and final estimates.
- Develop budgets, quantity takeoffs, and cost analyses.
- Review drawings and specifications to identify scope gaps and project risks.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
- Provide value engineering recommendations and cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, consultants, and project teams during preconstruction.
- Assist with bid package development and procurement strategies.
- Maintain current market pricing and historical cost data.
- Support presentations, proposals, and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3-10 years of estimating experience with a General Contractor.
- Experience on hospitality, resort, mixed-use, commercial, or multifamily projects.
- Experience working in the Caribbean and/or Latin American markets preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
- Ability to prepare detailed estimates and manage multiple pursuits simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
