Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer II in Houston, TX
Role Description
Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards for development.
Serve as the primary quality assurance resource to department for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in and providing Quality oversight for technical projects and equipment, process, and test method qualification/validation projects.
Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.
Assist in process certification.
Develop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures.
Report on quality issues, trends and losses.
Participate in internal and external quality audits.
Analyze the root causes and implement corrective actions for processes or parts that have concerns.
Investigate product quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction.
Skills & Requirements
Knowledge of Quality Assurance system development and implementation such as ANSI/ISO/ASQ 9001, SQF, ISO 14001, QS 9100, etc.
Certifications may include ISO 9001 or similar standard.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar as applicable to the job scope.
