Our client is looking to add a strong mid to senior level Mechanical Estimator to support their growing in-house mechanical team. This is a great opportunity for an estimator who enjoys being hands-on and wants exposure across a wide range of large-scale projects, and the opportunity to grow the team.
Your new role
- Prepare detailed estimates for mechanical side for WWTP projects.
- Support full-cycle bidding process, including take-offs, scope reviews, bid leveling, and subcontractor engagement.
- Maintain the systems and tools utilized by the department including HCSS, Quotesoft and Building Connected, and other deemed necessary for the overall estimating process.
- Analyze subcontractor proposals and ensure scope coverage is accurate and complete
What you'll need to succeed
- 6 years of estimating experience within civil construction
- Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
- Proven experience estimating for the mechanical piece of water, wastewater or utility projects
- Comfortable working in a Manhattan-based office
