Our client is seeking a Commercial Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial projects across the Raleigh area. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in K–12, higher education, municipal, and public‑sector construction, along with a proven track record managing field teams for a commercial general contractor.
Your new role
- Field Leadership — Oversee all onsite construction activities to ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
- Subcontractor Coordination — Manage subcontractor performance, sequencing, and daily workflow.
- Schedule Management — Maintain and update project schedules; anticipate and resolve delays.
- Quality Control — Enforce quality standards and conduct regular inspections.
- Safety Oversight — Ensure full compliance with company and OSHA safety requirements.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication — Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and inspectors.
- Documentation Management — Complete daily reports, logs, and field documentation accurately.
- Problem-Solving — Identify issues early and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
What you'll need to succeed
- 5 Years Superintendent Experience with a commercial general contractor.
- Sector Experience in education, municipal, and public‑sector projects.
- Technical Knowledge of building systems, sequencing, and commercial construction methods.
- Plan & Spec Proficiency — Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and submittals.
- Leadership Skills — Proven ability to lead field teams and subcontractors.
- Safety Certifications — OSHA 30 preferred.
- Technology Skills — Familiarity with Procore or similar platforms.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
