Assistant Superintendent - Airport

A leading general contractor is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join the team on a high-profile airport construction project in South Florida.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional looking to work on a complex, fast-paced project with a well-established builder known for delivering large-scale commercial projects.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Project Superintendent with day-to-day site operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Assist in managing project schedules and ensuring work progresses on time.
• Monitor quality control and ensure work is completed to project specifications.
• Enforce site safety standards and company safety policies.
• Participate in subcontractor meetings, inspections, and project reporting.
• Track daily site activities and maintain project documentation.
• Work closely with project management teams to resolve field issues.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Field Engineer with a general contractor.
• Concrete experience strongly preferred (structural concrete, foundations, slabs, vertical concrete, etc.).
• Experience working on commercial, institutional, aviation, transportation, or large-scale projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and site logistics.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• OSHA certification is a plus.
