Hays Fluid Controls is seeking an experienced and driven Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality strategy and help elevate performance across our manufacturing operation. What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Quality Assurance team.
- Establish and execute the organization's quality strategy, goals, and performance metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve product quality, reduce risk, and enhance operational performance.
- Analyze quality data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and leadership teams to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
- Develop and maintain quality systems, procedures, controls, and documentation.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective action plans for significant quality issues.
- Manage supplier quality performance through audits, evaluations, and ongoing collaboration.
- Oversee PFMEA development and risk mitigation activities.
- Coordinate and lead third-party certification audits, including FM and UL certifications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations.
- Champion a culture of quality throughout the organization.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance, manufacturing, or engineering leadership.
- 5 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and methodologies.
- Experience with statistical process controls, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in metal manufacturing, casting, forging, plastic injection molding, or related industries.
- Experience building or transforming quality systems and processes.
- Supplier quality and auditing experience.
- Familiarity with FM, UL, government, or customer-specific quality requirements.
