Summary
The County Court at Law Intern shall assist the County Court at Law judges and staff. The intern will assist with preparing research materials, forms, and other assigned duties.
- Searches resources, physical evidence, documents, and legal records to obtain information applicable to a case or issue under consideration.
- Conducts legal research by studying laws, statutes, constitutions, regulations, court opinions, including precedents and reasoning.
- Re-shelves files and organizes file room space.
- Documents and files materials received.
- Assists in answering office visitors and providing information to requestors.
- Operates office machines including computer, printer, photocopier and scanning equipment to enter and retrieve information.
- Assures the services delivered meet quality and timeliness standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Valid Texas Class C driver’s license.
