Education: HS Diploma / GED (R); BS or AS in mechanical engineering or related area (P)
Experience: BS with one year, AS with 3 years or 1-3 years of experience in metal processing (cutting / shearing / laser / waterjet) with CAD system application (P)
Areas of Knowledge: CAD system and application knowledge(R); understands and correctly applies higher level math (R); Industrial Safety (R), Industrial equipment (R), Spreadsheet and Database (R); Metallurgy (P), Quality systems and Standards (P), Laser / Waterjet cutting Technology (R), Statistics (R), Calibration and Documentation (R), Measuring Instruments (R)
Skills: Math (R), Computer (R), Communication (R), Organization and Planning (R), Ability to follow written SOPs (R), Analytical (R), Machine Operation / Metal Forming (R)
Essential Job Functions Are
Create drawings/nesting in SigmaNest software for all work performed on the waterjet and laser cutting equipment within established time-lines (remain 2 weeks out)
Quality - zero NCRs or RMNs for CAD/SigmaNest/drawing issues.
Team Work - demonstrates support of team goals; demonstrates flexibility and cooperation and adjusts to changing situations; approaches cross-functional relations in a professional manner.
CAD file setup and maintenance on all systems.
Work with facility personnel to troubleshoot issues / problems with equipment and programs.
Accept training and provide backup, support coverage at facility, as assigned.
Provide customer and cross-functional support, in a professional and productive manner.
