- Must be 18 years old
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- One year of manufacturing experience required
- One (1) to three (3) years’ experience operating or assisting on production equipment preferred but will train
- Available to work any shift, weekends, holidays and overtime as required
- Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs
- Willing to adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including all PPE requirements
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check
- Review work orders and use material handling equipment, overhead crane or fork lift to get material.
- Use material handling equipment, overhead crane or vacuum lift to get material.
- Instrumentally start machine and check hydraulic pumps.
- Charge material through machine with hand controls.
- Crop head/tail scrap off coil.
- Use material handling equipment or manually place scrap on a skid.
- Manually change Shear gap with small hand tools.
- Use micrometers or calipers to check and record gauge width, hardness, burr and surface condition
- Document machine mechanical problems.
- May be required to stand for long periods of time
- May involve some repetitive motions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
- Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold
- Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions
- Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Computer skills, data entry, good verbal and written communication skills
- Perform basic visual quality inspections on products
- Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties
- Must be certified or become certified in operation of forklifts and overhead cranes
