The Opportunity:
We’re hiring a 2nd Shift Advanced Machine Operator (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM). In this role, you’ll take on complex machining operations, mentor other operators, and ensure top-quality production across multiple machines. You’ll play an important role in problem-solving, process improvement, and team development.
What You’ll Do:
- Set up and operate machines, including tooling changeovers
- Make minor CNC programming adjustments
- Run multiple machines efficiently while maintaining quality
- Inspect parts and make adjustments during production
- Troubleshoot machine or tooling issues with support teams
- Train and support other operators
- Crosstrain across different machining areas
- Track scrap and maintain accurate production records
- Perform basic maintenance and report equipment issues
- Keep your area organized and safe using 6S practices
What You Bring:
- Experience with machine setups and production across product lines
- Comfort with CNC operations and minor program edits
- Ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools
- Skilled in troubleshooting and identifying part defects
- Experience operating at least six types of machines (including CNCs)
- Strong communication and mentoring skills
- Reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail
