Position Summary:
Seeking an experienced Inventory Control III driven to assist customers with inquiries related to purchase orders. Proficient in analyzing internal reports, identifying issues, and resolving them promptly through effective communication via email or reports. Skilled in data analysis and utilizing Excel to interpret trends, generate actionable insights, and streamline processes. Capable of developing strategies in a dynamic environment to ensure the organization's standards of quality representation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Track resolutions for customer issues.
- Establish and maintain follow-up with various internal departments.
- Adhere to established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives for continuous quality improvement.
- Monitor customer purchase orders.
- Demonstrate knowledge of inventory and unit measurements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Company and OSHA safety regulations.
- Resolve various reports, including but not limited to:
- Outstanding Bulk Purchase Orders
- Pending Cross-Dock Purchase Orders
- Unreceived Inbound Shipments
- Departmental Bulk Holds
- Missing Pallet Reports
- Conducts inventory reconciliation.
- Cost Savings for the company.
- Able to perform the job duties of ICI and ICII.
- Maintain item catalog with high-quality images of customer inventory.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to use logic and deductive reasoning to solve problems.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Clear and concise verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Correct use of punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
- Strong computer skills, especially MS Excel, Outlook, & Word.
- Scheduling, organization, and time management skills.
- Must be successful in working in a team environment.
- Must be able to maintain production and meet all quotas in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently, self-manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment in extreme weather conditions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of inventory responsibility required, preferably in warehousing or shipping operations.
- Minimum 1-2 years previous customer communication experience required.
- Forklift operators' experience preferred.
- RF Scanner experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
- Must be able to work in a hot or cold environment.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions.
Work Environment:
- Primarily based on a warehouse or distribution center setting, with varying temperature and noise levels.
- Must adhere to safety protocols and may use personal protective equipment as needed.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel to other company facilities or warehouses may be necessary.
Equipment Used:
- Warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and hand trucks.
- Barcode scanners, inventory management software, and computer systems for data entry and analysis.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position may involve oversight of junior inventory clerks or associates, providing guidance, training, and support.
