Ice Cream Server/Cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process food and retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash register operations, including processing cash, credit card payments, and managing cash handling procedures.
• Prepare and serve ice cream products with attention to quality, presentation, and food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing equipment, cleaning counters, and organizing supplies regularly.
• Upsell additional toppings or products to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
• Manage customer orders promptly while ensuring excellent food service customer order management.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including scooping ice cream and preparing cones or cups.
• Support bussing duties by clearing tables, cleaning seating areas, and ensuring sanitation standards are met throughout the shift.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with food safety management protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; training will be provided if needed.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests of all ages.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during shifts.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience operating kitchen equipment or working in a café or retail setting is advantageous.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours.
