Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP is seeking a paralegal with 3-5 years of experience to join our Atlanta office. The practice areas that this position will support include, but are not limited to, insurance defense, premise liability, product liability, professional liability, transportation, and construction.
Hawkins Parnell represents a variety of clients from global corporations to small local businesses and individual clients in high-risk litigation and business disputes across the country and U.S. Territories. The successful candidate will be a part of a national team of 250 lawyers and professional staff coast to coast.

What You Will Be Doing
- Managing cases including maintaining document control, calendaring docket deadlines and coordinating and monitoring local counsel
- Preparing and organizing documents such as forms, charts, letters, etc.
- Reviewing and summarizing depositions and records
- Facilitating expert retention, providing materials to experts, and coordinating deadlines for expert reports and depositions
- Assisting with trials including organizing trial documents and exhibits
- Preparing for depositions
- Preparing for hearings
- Reviewing and producing documents
- Drafting discovery documents and form pleadings/motions
- Requesting and organizing records
- Maintaining client records
- Assisting with e-filing
- 3-5 years of paralegal experience in similar practice areas
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated initiative and self-direction
- Proficiency in MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Exposure to extremely varied types of work
