Position: Pool Attendant
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii (Waikiki)

Hourly Rate: $18.00
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival, distribute towels, assist with seating, and consistently deliver exceptional guest service.
- Monitor and patrol the pool area, ensuring guests are aware of safety regulations.
- Provide outstanding service in line with hotel standards and brand attributes.
- Remain knowledgeable about hotel facilities and services to effectively respond to guest inquiries.
- Identify and report any defects or hazards in the pool area immediately to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain cleanliness of the pool attendant desk/swimming pool and report any maintenance issues to the engineering department.
- Ensure the pool deck is swept and watered down and that all furniture is in the correct place when setting up in the morning or breaking down in the evening.
- Keep the pool deck and facilities clean by straightening and stacking chairs, collecting soiled towels and trash, moving chairs and towels, replacing flags, and cleaning signs.
- Empty the trash cans surrounding the pool area.
- Scrub and clean the pool tiles surrounding the pool area.
- Brush and vacuum debris from the inside of the pool.
- Take chemical test readings and record findings on log sheet.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to enhance the guest experience.
- Perform other duties assigned by HBM supervisor.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; specialized training in pool operations or hospitality is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong public relations and communication skills are essential.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, bend, and move equipment and supplies as needed (minimum of 25 to 50 lbs.) is required.
