The Hawaii Yacht Club (HYC), a nonprofit, member-based organization with a long-standing maritime tradition, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Office Clerk to support daily administrative operations.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a professional yet community-oriented environment and is comfortable handling a variety of clerical and member-service tasks.
Position Overview
The Part-Time Office Clerk provides administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the Club office and positive engagement with our membership.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet members, guests, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and manage general correspondence
- Assist with membership records, data entry, and filing
- Support Board communications, meeting preparation, and document distribution
- Process basic invoices, payments, and administrative transactions
- Coordinate with staff, volunteers, and committees as needed
- Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Prior office or administrative experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with email, word processing, and basic spreadsheets
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Experience in a nonprofit, membership-based, or hospitality organization is a plus

- Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Schedule to be determined within office hours
