About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic **Part-Time BEAM Technician** to join our team in administering a groundbreaking neurodiagnostic procedure.
**BEAM (Biomarker-based Electrophysiology for Advanced Monitoring)** is an innovative platform that integrates EEG with automated neurocognitive tests to generate precision biosignatures, referenced against an extensive normative database. This advanced procedure produces detailed individual patient reports, allowing for:
Precise differentiation of disease types
Quantification of severity
Tracking of disease progression
Evaluation of intervention efficacy
Key Features and Impact:
**Comprehensive Biomarker Analysis:** Detects and monitors neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., Mild Cognitive Impairment, Alzheimer's, Lewy Body Dementia, Parkinson's, Huntington's) and psychiatric conditions (e.g., Depression, Anxiety, PTSD).
**Cutting-Edge Research Opportunities:** Contribute to ongoing studies in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Autism, Angelman Syndrome, Chemo Brain, Concussion, and more.
The procedures are conducted in our clinic **four times a week on Tuesday (full day) - Friday (half days).
Responsibilities
Administer BEAM procedures, including EEG setup and guided neurocognitive testing
Ensure high-quality data collection and patient comfort
Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of neurologists and researchers
Schedule and Commitment
Tuesday: 07:45am - 03:45pm
Wednesday: 07:45am - 12:30pm
Thursday: 07:45am - 12:30pm
Friday: 07:45am - 12:30pm
