The Entry-Level Medical Billing and Coding assistant is responsible for the administrative and financial functions related to patient accounts and claims processing. This role involves accurately translating medical services, diagnoses, and procedures into standardized codes for billing purposes. The specialist will work closely with medical providers, staff, and insurance companies to ensure the integrity of patient records and the efficiency of the revenue cycle.
Doctors office located in Wahiawa Town.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Familiarity with medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) is preferred, but on-the-job training will be provided.
- Strong computer proficiency and experience with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and insurance providers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities to resolve billing discrepancies and claim issues.
