The Laundry Worker is a valuable member of our team. This position provides adequate supplies of clean sanitary linen and garments to all departments, operates laundry equipment connected with washing linen, garments and other articles of clothing. All washable linens and garments are collected on a daily basis for laundering. Performs other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications : To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements. Please note that unless specifically indicated, the required education and experiences may not be gained concurrently. In addition, qualifying work experience is credited based on a 40-hour workweek.
Experience : One (1) year of commercial or institutional laundering experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Knowledge Of : Care and operation of laundry equipment; the uses and methods of preparing various solutions.
Ability To : Operate laundry machines and equipment; determine the length of time required for different washes; prepare solutions; follow oral instructions.
Licensure: Current valid Hawaii State driver’s license, Type 3. EVIDENCE OF LICENSE AND ORIGINAL COPY OF TRAFFIC ABSTRACT is required with the application.
