Hawai‘i Technology Academy is seeking a dynamic and innovative Elementary School Teacher to deliver instruction within our unique blended learning environment. This role supports HTA’s mission through face-to-face, virtual, and project-based learning modalities for the 2026-2027 school year.
Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-Time, 10-month (Regular, SY26-27)
- FLSA Status: Exempt
- Classification: HSTA BU05, Certificated
- Salary Range: $56,918.00 – $95,632.00

- Start Date: July 27, 2026 (New hire training July 23-24)
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction through face-to-face, virtual, and place-based/project-based formats.
- Design engaging, multidisciplinary lessons and courses.
- Serve as a support and guide for parents and learning coaches.
- Conduct individual and small-group tutoring sessions.
- Organize subject-specific field trips and collaborative school projects.
- Participate in professional development, school events, and team meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Hawai‘i Teacher Standards Board (HTSB) license (Elementary Education preferred).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or Elementary Education.
- Minimum of three years of elementary teaching experience.
- A desire to integrate and collaboratively design multidisciplinary curricula.
Note on Licensing: Candidates hired without a completed Teacher’s Education Program have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license and must demonstrate active pursuit of licensing requirements annually.
