Marketing and Community Engagement Manager
Reports to: Executive Director
Classification: Exempt (final classification dependent on structure)
Salary Range: $42,000-$50,000
Location: Bentonville, AR
Position Overview
Havenwood is a nonprofit organization providing a two‑year residential program that helps single mothers and their children move from crisis to self‑sufficiency.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Marketing and Community Engagement Manager
plays a key role in telling Havenwood’s story, strengthening community relationships, and ensuring the successful planning and execution of events and volunteer engagement. This position blends strategic communication with hands‑on coordination and relationship management, serving as a bridge between Havenwood and the broader community.

Marketing & Communications Responsibilities
· Enjoys creating social media content, marketing materials, and developing themes for events or campaigns
· Execute Havenwood’s marketing and communications plans in collaboration with leadership
· Manage and maintain social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
· Maintain and update Havenwood’s website (Wix), ensuring content is accurate and current
· Produce digital communications, including newsletters, stewardship highlights, and the annual report
· Ensure brand consistency, voice, and mission alignment across all partners, suppliers, and volunteers who help tell Havenwood’s story.
Events Oversight & Coordination
· Partner with external event planners and vendors to execute fundraising and community events.
· Serve as Havenwood’s internal liaison to ensure events align with mission, budget, and goals.
· Support event promotion, communication, and post‑event stewardship.
· Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure a positive and well‑coordinated experience.
Volunteer & Community Engagement Responsibilities
· Coordinate volunteer groups and community service projects
· Manage relationships related to in‑kind donations and pantry support
· Represent Havenwood through tours, speaking engagements, and community events
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
· Demonstrated ability to build relationships internally and externally; acts as a connector and bridge‑builder
· Experience using multiple marketing modalities, including print, email, and social media
· Comfortable and confident with public speaking, both in‑person and on camera
· Experience in nonprofit marketing, events, volunteer coordination, or community engagement
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Proficiency or willingness to learn tools such as Canva, Wix, social media platforms, and CRM systems
