Caregiver

We are seeking a compassionate Caregiver to provide dependable in-home support across multiple client residences. This role assists with personal hygiene and dressing, meal preparation and nutrition, companionship and activities, mobility and transfers, medication reminders, household needs, safety, appointments, and care documentation. The Caregiver reports to family members, works through a care agency, and coordinates with a multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and transfers.
• Prepare meals and support proper nutrition.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in appropriate activities.
• Offer medication reminders according to the care plan.
• Provide household support and maintain a safe care environment.
• Monitor client safety and support appointment-related needs.
• Document care provided and coordinate with family members, the care agency, and the multidisciplinary care team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level caregiving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Knowledge of personal care assistance, medication administration, safe patient handling, and activities of daily living.
• Understanding of infection control and care documentation.
• Strong communication, empathy, crisis management, and time management skills.
