We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities . This role involves working closely with residents in group homes, and community settings to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide monitoring and observation to ensure safety and well-being
- Administer medication following care plans
- Support residents with meal preparation, cooking, and nutritional needs
- Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely for resident transfers
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs and disabilities
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through routine cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional health
- Respond promptly to emergency situations using CPR or first aid skills when necessary
- Requirements:
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills for working with residents and team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in dynamic environments
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; prior experience working with people with developmental disabilities is advantageous
