Typical Duties And Responsibilities
Such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, including but not limited to:
- Bookkeeper for Title I, II, III, IV, IX Neglected and Delinquent, and School Improvement Grants
- Assists the director with ensuring all spending is in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Keeps abreast of current laws governing all grants by attending state meetings
- Receives and evaluates requisitions from personnel for purchases funded federally
- Recommends expenditures that are in compliance with federal guidelines
- Disseminates information concerning Title I programs (example Pre-K or Homeless) to teachers and parents of students participating in the program
- Accounts for all federally funded equipment across the district
- Prepares budget reports for all federal programs
- Assists the business office with federally funded payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, office supply inventory, grant documentation, etc.
- Assists the director all grant applications and maintains all documentation on federal expenditures
- Enters monthly approved Federal Programs student information in MSIS
- Oversees reimbursements for all federal travel
- Provides and maintains all required documents for federal funded positions (ex. PAR, Semi-Annual Certifications, Comparability Report, etc.
- Assists other department personnel as appropriate and necessary
- Performs basic clerical tasks, such as systematically arranging letters, memoranda, invoices, and other indexed documents according to an established system
- Sorts and routes incoming materials.
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance
- Supports the Hattiesburg Public School District Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan
- Performs other duties as assigned
