Kitchen Staff / Cook
Hatfield Public Schools is currently hiring for a part time Kitchen Staff / Cook for the current school year and beyond. This part time position will include 8-12 hours per week (approx. 4 hours per day, 2-3 days) for the current school year 25-26 and beyond. Qualified candidates will be interviewed ASAP.
Duties include but not limited to:
● Prepare and serve food items in the cafeteria.
● Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times
● Assist with food preparation, including cutting fruit, vegetables and assembling meals
● Set up and maintain serving stations with appropriate food items and utensils
● Clean and sanitize work areas, including countertops, equipment, dining tables, and operate dish machine
● Assist with inventory management and restocking of food supplies
● Provide excellent customer service to students and staff
● Operate cash registers and handle financial transactions accurately
Qualifications:
● Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required
● Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
● Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team
● Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
