Position: Senior Paid Media Manager (Ecommerce)


About the Role

Hatchery Group is hiring a Senior Paid Media Manager to personally manage and optimize paid advertising across Meta and Google for one of our growing client brands.


This is a full-time Hatchery Group position embedded deeply within the brand’s business. You will directly manage Meta and Google Ads accounts day to day, own six-figure monthly paid media budgets, and be accountable for improving acquisition efficiency across Shopify and Amazon.


This is not a strategy-only role and not an agency oversight role. This position requires hands-on execution in Ads Manager, paired with strong growth thinking, disciplined testing, and hands-on performance accountability.


This role is intentionally designed to grow. As the brand scales revenue and paid acquisition efficiency improves, this position has a clear path to Director-level scope, responsibility, and compensation.


The Opportunity

This role exists to turn paid advertising into a profitable, scalable ecommerce growth engine.

You will be responsible for direct execution, optimization, and testing of paid ads, while also setting direction on targeting, creative testing, and budget allocation to improve CAC, ROAS, LTV, and conversion efficiency over time.

Shopify and Amazon are both core to the business. Channel mix may evolve, and this role is expected to flex as the business grows.


What You Will Do


Hands-On Paid Media Execution

  • Directly manage Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads accounts on a daily basis
  • Launch, optimize, and scale paid ad campaigns end to end
  • Own six-figure monthly paid media budgets, including pacing and allocation decisions
  • Execute audience targeting, exclusions, and traffic quality optimization
  • Monitor performance daily and make hands-on adjustments to improve efficiency

Performance Marketing and Optimization

  • Drive ecommerce growth across Shopify and Amazon
  • Optimize toward CAC, ROAS, payback, and long-term LTV, not vanity metrics
  • Support Meta-driven demand generation for Amazon in close partnership with Amazon PPC agencies
  • Own performance across the full ecommerce funnel from demand generation through conversion

Growth Strategy and Testing

  • Build and own a hypothesis-driven testing roadmap
  • Lead testing across creative hooks, formats, and messaging
  • Test audiences and traffic quality
  • Test offers, bundles, and entry points
  • Identify learnings that translate across DTC and Amazon
  • Make clear decisions on what to scale, iterate, or stop

Creative Performance Direction

  • Use ad performance data to guide creative direction
  • Write clear, actionable creative briefs informed by what is working in-market
  • Partner with creative teams and creators to iterate quickly and improve conversion and engagement
  • Establish tight feedback loops between ad performance and creative output

Measurement and Optimization

  • Own performance reporting and insights across ecommerce channels
  • Analyze acquisition efficiency, traffic quality, and conversion behavior
  • Partner with CRM and lifecycle marketing to understand downstream subscription impact
  • Turn data into decisions, not decks

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with Hatchery leadership and immy stakeholders
  • Align paid acquisition with creative, lifecycle, product, and Amazon strategy
  • Build internal systems, documentation, and learning frameworks



How Success Is Measured

  • Sustained improvement in paid acquisition efficiency and overall profitability
  • Lower blended CAC over time, alongside improving LTV to CAC ratios
  • Improving ROAS and faster payback periods
  • Higher conversion rates and stronger engagement across paid traffic as creative, messaging, and offers improve
  • Clear, documented learnings that inform what is working, what is not, and what to test next
  • The ability to scale paid spend while maintaining efficiency and customer quality
  • This role requires hands-on paid media execution
  • This role requires direct, day-to-day management of Meta and Google Ads accounts.


Candidates who have primarily:

  • Overseen paid media through agencies without personally executing campaigns will not be a fit for this role.
  • Led growth, lifecycle, or CRO initiatives without hands-on paid ads ownership will not be a fit for this role.
  • Focused on strategy or reporting without direct Ads Manager execution will not be a fit for this role.


Experience

  • Five or more years in growth, performance marketing, or ecommerce acquisition
  • Hands-on experience directly managing Meta Ads and Google Ads campaigns end to end, including setup, optimization, testing, and budget pacing
  • Experience managing six-figure monthly paid media budgets
  • Strong understanding of audience targeting, testing, and efficiency optimization
  • Experience driving ecommerce growth across Shopify and Amazon
  • DTC, subscription, wellness, or consumer brand experience preferred
