The Salesforce Administrator will support the custom Salesforce Sales Cloud platform for the Global Investment Banking instance. This role is heavily focused on platform support, lifecycle management, tech debt remediation, and transitioning object-level permissions from profiles to permission sets. The Administrator will also support client users, enhance platform adoption, manage documentation, coordinate enhancements, and stay current with Salesforce releases and best practices.

The Salesforce Administrator will support the custom Salesforce Sales Cloud platform for the Global Investment Banking instance. The Administrator will also support client users, enhance platform adoption, manage documentation, coordinate enhancements, and stay current with Salesforce releases and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Focus on support, lifecycle, and technical debt work for the Salesforce team.
- Lead major initiatives, including moving object-level permissions from profiles into permission sets.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and administrator for the custom Salesforce Sales Cloud platform.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, installation/configuration procedures, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate rollout of platform enhancements, collaborating with all IT areas involved in deployment.
- Provide documentation and troubleshooting procedures to Service Desk Technicians for recurring issues.
- Open, manage, and resolve application issues with external vendors.
- Oversee feature request and support backlogs.
- Understand organizational drivers and assist with mapping Salesforce capabilities to business processes.
- Support new releases and bug fixes as they relate to project and platform activities.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot complex "how-to” questions within the Salesforce platform.
- Help business users understand effort, risk, and impact associated with Salesforce system changes.
- Drive user adoption and evangelize Salesforce usage to improve business outcomes.
- Create and maintain training materials and user documentation as processes evolve.
- Stay current on Salesforce releases, patches, upgrades, and industry updates.
- Participate in Salesforce Success Community and local user groups to expand platform expertise.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator and/or Platform App Builder certification highly recommended.
- 4–6 years of declarative configuration and administration experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce products; experience with Communities or Marketing Cloud is a plus.
- Strong understanding of declarative vs. programmatic solution trade-offs.
- Solid knowledge of data management, data administration, and data modeling.
- Ability to read/understand Apex, VisualForce, JavaScript, and Lightning Web Components is a plus (not required).
- Experience creating reports and dashboards.
- Strong communication skills and team-player mindset.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Experience developing technical/user documentation and training materials is a plus.
- Agile methodology experience (Kanban, user stories, sizing, retros) highly preferred.
- Strong business analysis capability and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of change management methodologies is a plus.
