What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance position at Hat Six Travel?
Hours are Thursday-Sunday 11am-9pm
Maintenance is responsible for keeping buildings in a clean and orderly condition.
Role and Responsibilities
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming
- Gather and empty trash on a regular basis throughout their shift
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms
- Clean showers in a timely manner after the customer is done
- Clean furniture and fixtures
- Drive vehicles required to perform cleaning work
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Monitor building security and safety
- Assist in unloading any inventory when needed
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals
- Follow company guidelines and procedures
- Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time
- Maintain and promote a team environment at all times
- Provide courteous service to our guests and be cordial to all team members
Job Requirements
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willingness to learn
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to stand up for at least an 10-hour shift
- Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment
