Hat Attack is a 40 year old hat/accessories company located in Stamford, CT. We are looking for a reliable production coordinator to be responsible for coordinating production of raw materials & manufacturing, analyzing inventory, assist customer service department, and maintain 3rd party drop ship platforms. In need of a strong member to add to our team. This job requires a lot of interaction between office and warehouse staff.
We are a small, family run business of under 15 employees. We are looking for someone who can start immediately.
Required to be in office 5 days a week, Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm.
- This is not a remote position, no option to work remotely.
The goal is to efficiently manage the entire production cycle so as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
COORDINATING PRODUCTION IN CT WAREHOUSE/FACTORY
- Manage warehouse employees and allocate work to 5-8 employees daily.
- Candidate will spend a large portion of the day in the warehouse, ensuring an appropriate flow of production is maintained.
- Coordinate and expedite flow of materials for warehouse production; hat production and finishing, ticketing/labeling product, trimming.
- Placing purchase orders as needed.
- Awareness of calendar, timing, customer order dates to ensure timely delivery to our wholesale customers.
- Run weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly reports to ensure the appropriate styles are being put into production, and materials are stocked accordingly
- Ensure production is flowing as needed, to stay on schedule for customer's delivery/shipping windows
- Make judgement calls on when reports need to be done-- continuously keeping eye on stock levels for product, trims, and materials so that manufacturing does not fall behind schedule.
ANALYZE AND REPORT INVENTORY
- Manage inventory at warehouse and keep track/analyze inventory through reports created in Quickbooks
- Assist with all projects related to inventory, including creating excel spreadsheets, uploading information to customer portals
- Maintain our online wholesale marketplace, JOOR, daily. Add/remove styles as needed, add badges to show backorders, update current collections in JOOR as needed.
- Seasonally, upload entire collection to JOOR, managing the process from start to finish (creating style spreadsheet, naming/changing images, creating style swatches).
- Physical counts of product and materials as needed.
- Creating of spreadsheets to maintain materials, trim.
SEASONAL PROJECTS
- Manage, create & maintain care/content/spec/HTC code spreadsheets for entire collection each season.
- Additional projects per wholesale customers requests.
CUSTOMER SERVICE/SALES ASSISTANCE
- Assist as needed in all aspects of operations, including order entry, customer service (emails, phone calls, invoicing), sales support
- Assure accurate and timely computer system data entry
- Manage samples and send out product to potential customers, PR agency, Influencers, as needed.
- Assist with communications with PR department
SKILLS
- Proven working experience as a production coordinator in a fast paced setting.
- Demonstrable accountability and ownership over tasks that are required.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects in a very fast paced, ever changing environment.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Detail oriented, able to work under pressure.
- Experience and knowledge of JOOR, Shopify, and 3rd party drop ship systems preferred.
- Strong Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams knowledge, in addition to familiarity with shipping websites and services, label printing (USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL)
- Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred
