TAX ACCOUNTANT

YOUR BACKGROUND:

• REQUIREMENTS
• “Hands-on” Corporate Tax experience is extremely important, including familiarity with forms such as 1099, 1042, 1065, 1120, among others.
• Experience in partnership taxation, K-1 preparation, or investor reporting.
• Ability to review work papers prepared by tax advisors and discuss tax structuring matters.
• Experience in the investment fund industry (asset/investment/fund management) and with investment structures: fund structures, offshore vehicles, REITs, or investment structures strongly preferred. 
• Fluent English and Portuguese extremely helpful.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• CPA helpful.
• Full-cycle accounting knowledge.
• Strong QuickBooks knowledge.

YOUR ROLE IN THE COMPANY:

• Act as “hands-on” in-house accountant, serving as a liaison between the company, its vendors, clients, and external accounting firms.
• Take an interest in proactively handling tax returns to completion.
• Participate in financial statement reviews and audits.
• Prepare detailed tax forms and coordinate with external CPA firm.
• Support other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.
