Job Summary
Harvey's is looking for a new bartender to add to our team. This position is seasonal with the potential to become permanent. We need very specific shifts filled for this job.
Friday 10am-5pm
Saturday 10am-First cut
Sunday 10am-5pm
We are not a pooled tip house. You get all of your tips in cash at the end of your shift.
Ownership team is working regularly alongside staff.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages accurately and efficiently using in house POS systems (we use SpotOn).
- Engage with guests to promote a fun atmosphere while utilizing proper sales techniques and upselling when appropriate.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards.
- Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and basic math calculations for accurate billing and change.
- Ensure responsible serving practices by monitoring guest alcohol consumption and adhering to alcohol service regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during food service or catering events to deliver seamless service in fine dining or banquet settings.
- Keep track of inventory levels, restocking supplies promptly while minimizing waste through effective time management.
- Uphold all food safety standards and promote a safe environment for both guests and team members.
Qualifications
- Two year minimum bartending experience (corporate or high volume experience is a major plus).
- Comprehensive knowledge on craft cocktails/ wine/ spirits/ and beer.
- Ability to take table service as well as guests at the bar.
- Prioritize not only exemplary customer service with bar guests- but to maintain a focus on service tickets as well.
- Proven experience as a bartender in a restaurant, nightclub, or hospitality setting.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy shifts.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and sales transactions.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events such as catering or banquets.
Pay: From $10.60 per hour
