THE OPPORTUNITY
The Manufacturing Manager is a key leader responsible for driving performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement at our Cuyahoga Falls site. Reporting to the General Manager, this role leads manufacturing operations, develops technical talent, and aligns teams around shared goals that support both site and company growth.
As part of the site leadership team, this role partners closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and commercial teams to improve operational performance, support new product launches, and strengthen long term manufacturing capability.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
- Lead daily manufacturing operations with a strong focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Continuous Improvement
- Partner with EH&S and Quality leaders to maintain safe operations, strengthen quality systems, and reduce variation, scrap, and customer complaints
- Drive on time delivery through capacity planning, staffing alignment, scheduling optimization, and equipment availability
- Support execution of manufacturing budgets, capital planning, and cost improvement initiatives
- Develop and coach manufacturing teams through cross training, skill development, and performance management
- Partner with Production Control to maintain accurate inventory levels and balance demand with manufacturing capability
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture where employees actively contribute ideas and solutions
- Support new product launches, equipment moves, and technology implementations across the site
- Use operational data and analytics to identify trends, improve performance, and drive shop floor results
- Contribute to site leadership strategy, KPI alignment, and cross functional planning efforts
YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
- 5 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Experience driving continuous improvement, problem solving, and root cause analysis
- Ability to influence, coach, and communicate effectively at all levels of an organization
- Comfort working with operational data, financial targets, and performance metrics
- Project management experience with equipment, technology, or process improvement initiatives
- ERP system experience and strong Microsoft Office skills
- CNC grinding or cutting tool manufacturing experience preferred
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems a plus
