We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support robust network and telecommunications solutions. This role is responsible for developing scalable infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and security. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving abilities, and experience working in AWS environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine network requirements and design integrated hardware, software, and telecommunications solutions to support organizational needs.
- Plan, design, develop, test, debug, and implement network systems across multiple platforms and architectures.
- Configure and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud-based networking components.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution of complex network and system issues.
- Oversee installation of hardware and implementation of layered software solutions and ensure proper integration.
- Ensure network solutions meet internal and client requirements for performance, scalability, and security.
- Assess and monitor bandwidth usage and capacity to optimize network performance and processing speed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise IT initiatives.
- Lead or contribute to major projects, including acting as technical lead when appropriate.
- Develop and maintain documentation for network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure roles.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, etc.).
- Experience designing and managing enterprise network infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with AWS networking services (e.g., VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53, Transit Gateway).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network and system issues.
- Experience with firewalls, load balancers, and network security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or similar.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Terraform).
- Experience leading projects or mentoring junior engineers.
